In a previous post I mentioned how I started my own handmade jewelry line called Isles Jewelry. I convinced a friend of mine to let me take photos of her with my jewelry on. Lucky enough she was more than pleased to do me this favor. I am obviously not a professional photographer but you do the best you can with what you've got, right? The pictures came out pretty great and I can't wait to take some more of my new pieces coming for Fall. Check out the photos and check out my shop www.islesjewelry.com I will be posting sneak peeks of the Fall collection on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, so make sure you follow me! Enjoy the pics! Also check out Fashion Zen blogger, Iris, wearing my rings!
Oh Gosh! I'm dying over all these fall items!!! Did a little trolling on the Internet today. The usual suspects are Zara, H&M and Nelly. I don't know who told me to go see what they have because just looking made my wallet cry! Found some great items I want need!
Still working on posting more on my blog. I am thinking about starting beauty tip posts. These posts will consist of anything related to hair, nails, skin and anything else I find relevant. They are tips I use myself in my beauty routine.
For the first beauty tip post I will give you a tip about nail growth and strengthening. My mom never allowed me to get acrylic nails when I was younger and I wanted them so bad. I secretly went behind her back and got them done one day and to be honest it was the biggest mistake I ever made, and I've made quite a few mistake in my life. Within a week I had already broken 4 of my nails. That shits way to expensive and too much work to keep them from breaking, for me. Never got them again! I pulled the rest all off! Kudos to those who can do pretty much everything with them and also those stiletto nails, oh god no! Knowing myself I would probably hurt myself and others with those things.
Back to my point, I decided to start taking better care of my nails and my aunt told me that to get my nails to grow and be strong I should use garlic. Yes, garlic! Garlic has many wonders and not only for your food, it can keep vampires away too, which is always a plus right? If you want your nails to long and strong chop up some fresh garlic and put it on a bottle of clear nail polish. Let it sit for 7 days and then you can use it just like any other nail polish. It may have a little scent at first but it goes away.
If you happen to try this out, or already do it, let me know! I have been doing it for years and it works so good for me! The nail polish I'm wearing is Superstar by Deborah Lippmann.
Hello ladies and gents (maybe), I have totally been ignoring my blog for the past year I believe. I just got so busy with school and then my study abroad and also a new venture I began which is Isles Jewelry. In December 2012 I went home (Curacao) for a much needed HOT vacation from cold Holland. While I was there I felt so inspired by all the beauty my Island has to offer and I have been talking to my boyfriend about starting my own jewelry line for quite some time now so I decided to just do it (as Nike would say). I have been working on this since January when I go back from my vacation and a few weeks ago I opened my little online shop on Etsy! I love Etsy! I always would shop on Etsy and I am so grateful that now I get to show off my pieces on their website! You can check out my shop on www.islesjewelry.com and follow me on Instagram @islesjewelry
Here are some photos from my pieces.
Hello again! I have completely neglected my blog for some time now. School got the best of me and then I went to study abroad in Antwerp. While doing some changes to my LinkedIn profile I decided to come back to my blog. I think it might be time for a come back. Although school is still priority, since I am on the look for an internship, hopefully I will make a few posts here and there and get back to blogging. I guess we will just have to wait and see. Stay tuned! xx
I have been such a bad blogger lately, I have had no inspiration what so ever and been very busy with my lifestyle change. My day mostly consists of me going to the gym twice a day everyday and also doing Insanity. I love Insanity, it's really intense and you really get a good workout. I have been making a lifestyle change by eating healthier and being more active. I will keep you guys posted about my change. Anywho so I was on Tumblr and figured I could share some inspirational photos and quotes that I use to keep myself motivated and could help others. Hopefully I will be more inspired soon!
